1. Who we are

Diffle is operated by operator name — to confirm, address — to confirm. When these terms say “we”, “us”, or “our”, that’s who they mean. When they say “you”, they mean anyone who visits the site, makes an account, or plays.

2. The service

Diffle is a puzzle game. Each scene is a pair of AI-generated pictures with a small number of deliberate differences between them; your job is to find the differences. Some features — the warm-up puzzle and browsing this site — work without an account. Playing scenes from the library, keeping game history, and generating your own scenes require a free account.

3. Your account

• You need a working email address to register.
• Keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised.
• One person, one account. Don’t make accounts for the purpose of getting around limits or bans.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see Contact. Deleting your account removes your profile and game history.

4. Credits

Generating new scenes costs credits. Credits are a virtual item inside the game, and a few plain truths apply to them:

• Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred, sold, or exchanged outside the game.
• Purchases of credits are final, except where the law of your country gives you a right we can’t (and wouldn’t) take away.
• If a generation fails on our side — you spent credits and got no scene — tell us and we’ll restore the credits.
• We may change credit prices or what credits buy; changes never apply retroactively to credits you already hold.

5. Generated scenes

• Scenes are produced by third-party AI image models from your prompt or your uploaded photo. Your prompt or photo is sent to those providers to do the generating — see the privacy notice for details.
• Only upload photos you have the right to use. Don’t upload photos of people who haven’t agreed to it.
• You keep whatever rights you have in your prompts and photos. You give us the permission we need to store, display, and process the resulting scenes so the game can work.
• We can remove scenes that break these terms or that we reasonably consider harmful, and we don’t promise generated scenes will be accurate, appropriate, or solvable — models have bad days too.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the service to:

• generate content that is illegal, hateful, or sexualises minors — this one is a permanent ban, no warnings;
• harass other people or impersonate them;
• probe, overload, or break the service, or scrape it at volume;
• cheat in ways that affect other players once competitive features exist.

7. Availability

The game is young and under active development. It is provided “as is”: features may change, move, or occasionally fall over. We do our best to keep your data safe and the service up, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may withdraw features with reasonable notice.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited — for example, liability for intent, gross negligence, or harm to life and health. Our total liability for everything else is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game grows. For meaningful changes we’ll tell you — by email or a notice in the game — at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, delete your account before they do.

10. Ending things

You can stop using the game or delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms; for serious breaches (see section 6) we can do so immediately, otherwise we’ll warn you first. Unused purchased credits on a lawfully closed account are forfeited only where the closure is due to your breach.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of jurisdiction — to confirm. If you’re a consumer, you also keep any protections the law of your home country gives you regardless of this clause.
